Meet The Fashion Gurus
Colour is extremely influential, it makes us feel positive, appear healthy and vibrant. Do you want to look and feel fabulous, stand out from the crowd, become more visible, build confidence, credible and be remembered for the right reasons giving you a competitive edge? You will sparkle in a way that will bring you genuine compliments. I love using the Power of Colour and see myself as a catalyst for positive change in how you look and feel. If you're busy, time poor, going for the next step in your career, had a lifestyle change or just need help re-discovering the real you I can help.
Having worked in the Corporate sector for over 25 years, I'm very aware of how important first impressions are and how others' perceive you. Time to invest in yourself and embark on a journey of self discovery. You will leave feeling uplifted, excited and amazed.
My personal journey with House of Colour started in 2015 which was transformational and very liberating. Having always had a monochrome wardrobe of black suits and neutral tops I was shown I suited bright, cool winter colours. (I'm a Sprinter Winter and Romantic Classic clothing personality). I gained a different sort of confidence in myself making me feel alive, happy and vibrant. This then inspired me to leave my successful Corporate career in London and become a consultant as I'm passionate about inspiring and empowering others to be the best version of themselves.
I get a real buzz from helping people look and feel fabulous so that they have the confidence to fully embrace life’s opportunities. It’s this passion that led me to train to Advanced Level with Colour Me Beautiful, the world’s largest image consultancy. I have consistently ranked in their top three consultants and have won outstanding contribution awards every year. I am a member of the Federation of Image Professionals International (FIPI) and am also a Kettlewell Colours “Star” consultant. I regularly appear on BBC Radio Solent in their “Ask The Expert” style slot and I have been quoted in the national press. I very much enjoy giving talks and demonstrations.

Charlotte Burgess, returned from Italy recently after providing three days of cover as a nail technician for Gucci at the Milan Fashion Week. Even as part of a team of 20, the challenge was immense given the task was to provide hand and sometimes foot manicures to 120 fashion models who were about to take to the catwalk.
Fortunately, after doing the same for two previous London fashion weeks and also Paris last year, Charlotte knew what to expect within the chaotic environment as a team of hairdressers, makeup artists and the ‘nail girls’ worked around each other as a model sat patiently before taking to the runway.
“Many of my clients have asked for treatments that reached the catwalk; we are now doing more embellishment work, including genuine Swarovski Crystal nails, which we help to minimise the price of by carefully removing the crystals for future use when a customer wants a change.”Colour changes and acrylic structured enhancements are now the most frequent requests at the busy nail salon, where over 320 gel colours are currently stocked. Well-manicured hands can add confidence and help to project a desired image.
